Long Stag Dress Bayonet by Anton Wingen
Extra-Seitengewehr 98K mit Seitengewehrtasche. A nice extra cost feature with stag grips! The bright plated 250mm Wingen stamped blade in excellent condition with no wear. The blade rates Mint. There are just light runner marks but that's it. The leather buffer pad remains. The black enamel painted scabbard has some wee scratches and spidering, it remains dent-free. 99%+ of the original paint remains intact. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The nickel-plated alloy hilt has good plating and a fully functioning mortise button. Someone ground an "X" into the back of the hilt, why, when or who I have no idea. The multi-toned stag grips plates are well fit and secured with 2 aluminum rivets. They are in near perfect condition with no cracks or chips anywhere. Included is a nice brown frog. There is a portepee someone stuck on there it's got lots of repairs and little value but still good for display.
