1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by SMF

1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Borddolch) by SMF Solingen. I always liked aluminum 1st Model Luftwaffe daggers as they seem to remain nice and bright! The plated blade on this one has some age! The "SMF Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed, as is the proof mark just above it! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip is perfect! The blade rates NM. It has runner marks and the odd surface scratch. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark and a wee cut yet it retains 99% coverage and has a perfect seam! The aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright, matching the hilt in color. The aluminum chain has 8 lower and 6 upper ringlets that end at a well working "Ges. Gesch. OLC" marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four sun wheel swastikas are gold gilded. The grip leather remains in excellent condition with some honest wear! The aluminum triple wire wrap remains tightly intact.
