A Late and Rare Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/66 1942 – Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “RZM M7/66 1942” maker mark / date are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light, running the full length of the blade. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates NM. The undented scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows a few minor scratches. The scabbard fittings are steel based and nickel-silver plated. They hold nice plating coverage. The ball is perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. The plating shows a bit of lifting towards the grip fits. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. It shows minor pressure marks throughout and a tiny flake to the upper left crossguard fit. The zinc eagle has no oxidizing and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A solid very late SA example.
