A Textbook Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by WKC of Solingen. The blade on this one is wonderful! The acid etched Knights Head “WKC Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible as you turn it in the light, all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a NM with just a couple wee dots of age about the logo. The large leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands. The scabbard remains dent free and retains lots of factory lacquer. The original single side throat retaining screw remains intact. The nickel silver plated Tomahawk eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle’s head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. All matching fittings. The chip and crack-free orange trylon grip is near perfect being one tone darker to the obverse. Nice color contrast. A wonderful example!
