Luftwaffe Flak Feldwelbel's Tunic

Nice quality Luftwaffe blue/grey, wool/rayon, blend construction tunic features a vertical, four button, front closure with small, fold back, lapels and a lay down collar. The tunic has two lower front pockets with button down flaps. The right breast has a machine embroidered, second pattern, (Circa 1936/37-1945), Luftwaffe eagle clutching a canted swastika in it’s talons, in silvery/grey cotton threads on a cut-out, Luftwaffe, blue/grey wool base. The eagle is neatly machine-stitched to the tunic. Unlike so many of these tunics this one was not Denazified and repurposed at war's end. The straight cut sleeves have an adjustment button, one of which is missing. The left sleeve has a rank chevrontwo, "V" shaped, machine woven, waffle patterned, tress chevrons in bright, silver/aluminum flat-wire threads, machine stitched on a inverted triangular, Luftwaffe blue/grey wool base, which tapers down to a pointed tip. The insignia is neatly handstitched to the sleeve. The side panels at the waistline each have three, vertically aligned, horizontal, thread loops and a central, vertical, slash to adjust the belt support hooks. The tunic has slip on shoulder straps in Luftwaffe blue/grey wool with and bright red wool waffenfarbe piping. The shoulder strap retaining buttons are intact. The lay-down collar has has bright red, wool collar tabs with three, stamped, rank "gulls" to each. Interesting that the gulls pierce the back of the collar indicating that they were upgraded after the tabs were sewn on the tunic. The interior of the tunic is unlined however is is well marked and dated 1941. The left breast lining is well marked with black size ink stamps, the manufacturer’s name and "L.B.A. 41", indicating, Luftwaffenbekleidungsamt 1941 (Air-Force Clothing Depot 1941). The buttons are all the bright, blue washed, pebbled alloy type and appear to have their original stitching. The tunic is roughly a small men's. I have gone over this and find one snap receiver missing from the very bottom of the tunic. Finally I found a dog tag to the lower pocket. The original owner was part of Flakscheinwerfer-Abteilung 609 Though at this time we are unable to trace the dog tag owners down there is some work being done to create a research database in the future. I see light wear but no holes. Super nice!
