Restored Hitler Youth Knife

A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser. The ricassoed blade on this one is in excellent shape! The maker mark is washed out and in my opinion was originally a “RZM M7/12” - Max Weyersberg of Solingen maker mark. These etched marks are notoriously light and it's common for them to be washed out or severely lightened. See The Collector’s Guide to Hitler Youth Knives The blade has been cleaned and retains it's correct shape with no sharpening and a solid fit. The blade rates Exc+. It shows surface scratches and minor spotting throughout. The black leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It retains 99% of original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! Minor spidering throughout. The folded black leather strap is a replacement that has been glued in place. The leather and snap all function fine. The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 90%+ of its plated finish. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect shape and are secured by two steel rivets. The reverse plate is a replacement. The HJ diamond is gorgeous, showing minor spotting yet retains 99%+ of its enamel!
