Model 1934 - Reichsarbeitsdiens Haumesser für Mannschaften und Unterführer by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The matte finished blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Arbeit adelt” motto, “RADJ Ges. Gesch. Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark are all dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The fit is perfect as is the tip. The blade rates Mint-. Nothing more to say here as good as it gets. The sheet metal based black enamel painted scabbard is looks great. The paint shows minor spidering and a couple scratches. It retains 99% coverage. It remains completely dent-free. The steel based, nickel-silver plated fittings provide nice details throughout the RAD logos, circling and decorative interweaving top patterns. Four screws remain. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The iron-based nickel-silver plated hilt looks great. It matching the scabbard fittings in color and patina. The stag horn grip plates have wonderfully aged, providing nice contrasting beige/brown colors. They remain tightly secured by two screws and spanner nuts. A fine example.
