M40 ET64 SD Luftwaffe Helmet
The dent-free stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains most of its original paint. The left side of the helmet has a second pattern, black detailed, silvery/white, Luftwaffe eagle decal. It has been denazified. The decal is retained 40%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The band is steel. The interior of the helmet has a post-war Norwegian style leather liner. The reverse, interior, neck guard apron is serial/lot number stamped, "421" and the interior, left side, apron has the stamped manufacturer’s code and size, "ET64", indicating manufacture by Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, size 64.The chinstrap is lost to time.
