M35 SE64 SD Luftwaffe Helmet
The sheet steel construction helmet retains its original smooth, Luftwaffe dark blue/grey paint. The left side of the helmet has a second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal which is retained about 30%. The right side of the helmet has a national tri-color shield decal has been removed per period orders. All three liner retaining rivets and both inset ventilation bushings are all intact. The interior of the helmet has a tan leather, M31 liner. All the liner fingers are complete. The liner has a rip to one side as shown. The liner adjustment string looks to be a modern replacement. I can not find a ink stamp for the liner size. The originakl chin strap remains supple with some surface cracks. The reverse interior neck guard apron is serial/lot number stamped, "1125" and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, "SE64", indicating manufacture by Sächsische Emaillier-und Stanzwerke, AG Lauter, (Saxon Enamel and Die/Metal Stamp Works), size 64.
