A Model 1937 Reichsarbeitsdienst Führer Haumesser by Carl Julius Krebs of Solingen. The single edged, fullered, clip-point blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Arbeit adelt” motto and crowned K “Carl Julius Krebs Solingen” maker mark are both beautifully executed. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The fit and tip are both perfect. The blade rates Exc++/NM. It has been lightly cleaned and shows surfec scratches throughout. The sheet metal based, nickel-silver plated heavily lacquered scabbard looks great. It is well patinaed throughout. It displays wonderful details throughout, with the burnished: decorative swirls, random pebbling and wheat leaves. Two throat retaining screw remain, one is sticking out and is a replacement. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly. The cast aluminum based, nickel-silver plated and burnished hilt looks good. It has lost some plating and it looks as though someone has cleaned it. The grip plates are made of white celluloid. The front one has a crack and the back has a chip.
