Luftwaffen “Fallschirm-Jäger Rgt.1” (1st Parachute Regiment) Ärmelstreifen – Private / Non-Commissioned Officer Variation. On January 29, 1936, the Luftwaffe established its paratrooper units. This is constructed out of a blue cotton base covered in a green wool with hand embroidered rolled aluminum-silver bullion-flatwire, that has all been stitched together. The obverse features in Gothic style script “Fallschirm-Jäger Rgt.1” on a green base that has been stitched to the top and bottom. The reverse features the blue backing with green wool to the top and bottom all cross stitched to the back. It measures 1 1/8 inches tall by 17 ½ inches long. Comes with a COA from emedals - B. Turk.
