A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/36 - E. & F. Hörster of Solingen. The ricassoed blade on this one looks excellent. The stamped “RZM M7/36” maker mark is beautifully executed. The crossgrain looks excellent as it shines against the light. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates NM. It looks as though it has been lightly cleaned and shows typical age throughout. The original black leather buffer pad is remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks excellent. It retains 95%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free. It has a small “F.W.” has been scratched into the edge. The folded black leather strap is in great condition. It retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well. The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 90%+ of its plated finish. Typical wear in the expected areas. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect shape and are secured by two steel rivets. The HJ diamond is gorgeous retaining 99%+ of its enamel. An excellent piece by a large manufacturer.
