Black Belt/Equipment D-Loop

This D-loop, with a triangular end point, is most likely for a Postal, Railway or RLB Subordinate Dagger. It is constructed out of a tanned blackened leather base, over a nickel-silver D-loop that is secured with a black painted rivet. There is verdigris to the crevasses where the leather meets the d-loop. The obverse paint over the rivet is lost to time. It measures 3 ¾ inches long. A rare accoutrement.
