Early SA Dagger by C. & R. Linder

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by C. & R. Linder of Solingen-Weyer. The blade on this looks excellent. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and crowned hooked blade “C&RL C. & R. Linder Solingen-Weyer” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates NM. There is the typical spotting/age grey and scratches throughout. The sheet metal based brown anodized scabbard is in great condition. It remains dent free and holds 80% of its original factory lacquer. There is minor oxidization spotting. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in great shape. The ball retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain intact. The loop and ring look to be period replacements. The scabbard to crossguard patina is a bit off yet the fit is perfect. The solid nickel-silver crossguards are in wonderful shape. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Wm” (Westmark). The brown hardwood grip is in good condition. There are the typical bumps and bruises. The lower reverse has some flake chips. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 95%+ of its enamel. A great example.
