Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Emil Voos of Solingen. McSaar rates this one a 8 out of 10 for rarity. A true quality maker of SA daggers! The bright blade on this one looks beautiful! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Emil Voos Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed and wonderfully contrast the bright blade! The blade has been cleaned and the crossgrain a bit washed out. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! There are a few wee scratches right after the motto you can find if you turn the blade just so in the sun. I'm guessing someone tried to clean up a spot here. The blade rates Exc++. The scabbard is nice. It has a small pressure mark to the upper obverse next to the upper fitting. It continues to hold it's original finish with some light oxidation. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards in condition, wear and patina. The ball has a been flattened and there is a split to the bottom. All four screws continue to remain intact. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau marked "Nm" (Nordmark). The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect! The brown grained wood grip looks excellent! Just the common pressure marks throughout but no cracks, chips or splits! The grip / crossguard/grip fits are perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful detail and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Nice.
