Early SA Dagger by Gustav Voss

Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Gustav Voss of Solingen. McSaar rates this one a 9 out of 10 for rarity. The blade on this one has some age and evidence of age pitting like someone put it away wet. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Gustav Voss Solingen" maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates an Exc++. It shows the common surface scratches and age graying throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It has a very small pink prick hit to the body 3" south of the upper obverse fitting. It holds a good brown finish to it with much lacquer! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. The ball retains a nice round shape with a "kiss" to the very bottom. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse crossguard is also correctly stamped with “Om” (Ostmark). The brown hardwood grip has a flake to the upper obverse right corner and another to the lower left reverse corner. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. Direct from Vet's family, never been apart or in a collection.
