Army Dagger by Carl Eickhorn
Model 1935 - 4th Pattern - Heer Dolch by Carl Eickhorn. The plated blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark has been polished. The fit is perfect as is the tip. The blade rates a NM. It shows spotting and age grey throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout. We seen some age and a mottled look. It remains completely dent free and the original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The zinc-alloy based nickel-silver plated Eickhorn (Paul Casberg-designed) crossguard provides beautiful crisp detail. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The deep, orange, trylon chip and crack-free grip on this one is looks excellent. Textbook construction.
