A nicely nicotine patinaed example. The blade rates Exc++ having a couple age dots and a few scuffs and marks. They are minor and not distracting. There are no nicks or sharpening and it's got that nice matt finish. The tip is quite original. The blade is marked with Eickhorn's mid-period stamp. The original white leather buffer pad remains intact. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent free. The top fitting is secured by 2 dome-heard screws. The lower fitting is in superior condition with all the burnish and plating remaining again with matching screws. Both fitting have factory burnish to the backgrounds. The scabbard throat is also SS proofed. The wire wrapped grip is in good shape sporting the correct large officer size copper police insignia. There is some wear and normal rubs to the hardwood grip but no cracks or chunks missing. The cast ferule is well detailed showing burnishing to the backgrounds. Look at the small details here guys, see the drilled tip at the end of the quillion? Under the D-guard we have another SS stamp. Gotta love it! Finishing this is a repaired hurting Police troddle. A real nice example you will be pleased with!
