Imperial Prussian Army Belt & Buckle

A good example of an Imperial Prussian Army belt & buckle! The buckle is constructed out of a die struck, steel base that has been green painted. The obverse depicts the Imperial king's crown which is then encircled by detailed lines and enclosed by two twisted ropes. The crown is above a laurel leaf and berry wreath and below the Army motto: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us), which all lies on a smooth background. The steel prongs and catch remain in good condition. The obverse shows heavy wear. It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. The belt is nicely marked heavy quality black leather size 92 belt that is maker marked and dated 1915. A nice piece!
