Police Officers Degan
The 33" unmarked blade on this one looks has old on it that will clean if you use acetone and elbow grease. It has some age and finger print stains with a solid fit and perfectly ended tip! The blade rates Exc. The steel based, black painted scabbard has a dent on both sides 7" north of the lower fitting. It shows the light wear. The steel based nickel plated fittings retain 99% plating. The top fitting is tightly secured by two screws as is the lower. They continue to show nice details with a decorative interweaving design. The steel based nickel plated hilt has utilized a NCO D-guard. When, where and who I don't know but most likely done post-war. It retains 95%+ plating coverage! The hardwood black grip has a couple loose wires and one strand is a replacement. It has a chip to the right one the wing tip. The early copper Police eagle is beautifully detailed with an excellent fit! The ferrule remains looking good with nicely hand detailed leaves and acorns. The pommel nut is quite correct.
