2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Tiger
A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Tiger of Solingen. The blade on this one has been cleaned and looks excellent. The stamped “Tiger Solingen” maker mark is crisp and beautifully executed. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The generic scabbard is steel based and airplane gray finish. It is in excellent condition with no dents or oxidization. It depicts beautiful detail throughout with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The aluminum based crossguard looks excellent with nicely hand enhanced details. The eagles head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns are all beautiful. The steel ferrule and burnished pommel both look excellent. The orange trylon grip is in excellent condition. It has the odd rub, but no cracks or chips. Grip wire is the double twist brass type. A great piece by a desirable maker.
