Minty SA Dagger by RZM M7/36

A model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM 7/36 ( E. & F. Horster) of Solingen. This thing is just gorgeous!!! Check out the blade on this one! Just beautiful!! This is how they were supposed to look! There are runner marks but other than that mint! The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light, running the full length of the blade! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows minor wear and it continues to remain completely dent free and retains 99.9%+ paint coverage! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent condition, retaining 99.9%+ plating coverage. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws are tightly secured. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. They show minor age bubbling. The upper reverse looks to have a wee crack, I took this apart and looked it does NOT go all the way through so just surface scratch. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent as well! It has the typical pressure marks. No chips or flakes. The desirable solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! About as good as it gets.
