SD M40 army Helmet by Q64

Here we have a combat worn example of a Single Decal M35 army Helmet. The shell is constructed out of a stamped piece of steel sheet metal that has been green textured painted. The shell has a folded over edge, pieced air vents and three split rivets. The interior has a steel liner with spring steel strips, and two square rings. The blackened leather liner remains completely intact but the strap for the buckle is broken. The liner is darkened but all the fingers remain with some small tears. The draw string alooks to be original. The shell shows oxidization pitting/spotting throughout. It continues to retain 60%+ of its paint. The single decal is 75% intact! The helmet is maker marked and sized "Q64", F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. Esslingen. Serial # 706.
