10 Year Anniversary of the Nuremberg Rally Badge
Abzeichen - “Thüringen” 10 jährige Wiederkehr des Reichsparteitages Weimar 1926-1936 by Hermann Wernstein of Jena Lobstedt. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 1926 NSDAP event in Weimar, the NSDAP gave importance to this act and commissioned this commemorative badge. It is constructed out of a die stamped tombak base that has been bronze washed. The round shaped obverse features a centrally placed “Deautschland Erwache” Standard Flag, below the pole toppers “Thüringen” and the eagle/swastika, which is flanked by "1926" (left) and "1936" (right) and is all surrounded by “10 jährige Wiederkehr des Reichsparteitages Weimar “. There is also a small "7W" to the very bottom. The hollow back reverse is maker marked “H. Wernstein Jena”. It also has a horizontally soldered-on well working tombak pin assembly. It measures 1 15/16 inches in diameter. Highly desirable.
