Rare - Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Rudolf Büchel of Solingen-Merscheid. The blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “RBS” star surrounded by “Rudolf Büchel Solingen-Merscheid” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain looks excellent, running the full length of the blade being is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM. It shows spotting and scratches throughout along with a wee bunt to the tip. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands. It remains completely dent free and both original throat retaining screws remain intact. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguard provides beautiful crisp detail. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange trylon based grip on this one is looks wonderful. The odd bump throughout. The silver has gorgeous matching patina throughout. A rare maker in excellent condition.
