Preußen Dienstauszeichnung 3.Klasse 1913 für 9 Jahre - c.1913-24. Instituted July 4, 1913, by King Wilhelm II, the 3rd class Lang Service Medal was awarded for nine years of loyal service in the armed forces. It is constructed out of a die stamped nickel-silver base that has been silver washed. The round shaped obverse features a royal crown surrounded by, in Gothic style script “Treue Dienste bei der Fahne”. The reverse reads: “IX”. The top features a soldered-on loop and ring which holds 7 1/2 inches of blue rayon ribbon. The award measures 1 3/16 inches in diameter.
