Nationalsozialistische Lehrerbund Ehrenzeichen 1933. The NSLB (National Socialist Teachers League) was established on April 21, 1929 and lasted until 1943. It is constructed out of a die stamped “800” silver base. The obverse features a national eagle with outstretched wings perched above a shield which reads: “NSLB” to the top has a central mobile swastika flanked by “19” (left) and “33” (right) with a three-steeple building to the bottom. The fullback reverse is marked: “800” (silver content designation) and has a vertically soldered-on round plate that is marked: “Ges. Gesch.” that holds a well working nickel-silver pin assembly. It measures 1 1/16 inches wide by 1 3/16 inches tall. A very rare item. Purchased from the veteran’s family.
