Civil Radio Operator’s Badge by Juncker

RARE - Zivil-Bordfunkerabzeichen by C. E. Juncker of Berlin. Introduced on April 1, 1936, by Hermann Göring, the Civilian Radi Operator Badge was awarded to air force radio operators and flight mechanics employed by the Air Force if they hold a 1st class aircraft license or flight attendant license and have been working continuously for one year in the Air Force since that time. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed. The obverse features a winged mobile swastika. The fullback reverse is maker marked: “C.E. Juncker Berlin SW” and features a soldered-on barrel hinge, soldered-on round wire catch and coke bottle pin. It measures 2 7/16 inches wide by ¾ of an inch tall. An extremely rare piece…
