1927 Pattern SS/SA/NSDAP Mützen Adler by RZM 6 - Karl Hensler of Pforzheim. Introduced on November 4, 1927, allegedly designed by Adolf Hitler, this First/1927 Pattern cap eagle was worn on SS and SA personal until 1929/1931, then it was also worn by the NSDAP until January 1934. It is constructed out of a die stamped nickel-silver base that has been silver plated and contains black enamel paint work. The obverse features the first style national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed black swastika within its talons. The hollow back reverse has a tapered prong assembly that is marked to the underside: “RZM 6”. It measures 1 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/16 inches tall. Purchased form the veteran’s family.
