Two - 2. Form Touristenverein “Die Naturfreunde” Mitliedsabzeichen. The Naturfreunde (NFI) was founded in 1895 as an internationally active, socialist environmental, cultural, leisure, and tourism organization. These are constructed out of a die struck bonze base with multi-colored enamel work. The round shaped obverse feature two holding hands below three alpine roses with mountains and blue skies in the background and a grass field to the base, all surrounded by “Touristenverein Die Naturfreunde”. The larger has a fullback reverse, is maker marked: “Deschler & Sohn München” and has a horizontally soldered-on rectangular plate holding a well working pin assembly. The smaller has a fullback revers, is maker marked: “August Zehn Wien” and has a soldered-on buttonhole device. The larger is 30mm the smaller is 23mm in diameter. There are more than eight variants to collect!
