Tagged - Waffen-SS Paar Kragenspiegel für einen SS-Untersturmführer - Type 2, c.1934-45. These are constructed out of a buckram base that has been covered in black wool, with SS hand embroidered silver bullion runes over cardboard (left), three silvered aluminum rank pips (right) and both have been piped in twisted aluminum flatwire strands. The left tab features two centrally placed SS runes above a black background with a silver piped exterior. The right tab has three pips above a black background with a silver piped exterior. The reverses have a lacquered buckram base with black wool covering the edges and black stitching holding the piping. The reverse of the rank tab shows the glued-on paper RZM tag and all of aluminum prongs holding the pips. They each measure 2 ¼ inches wide by 2 1/8 inches tall. Very desirable.
