SchutzStaffel-Sturmscharführer SS-Fuss-Standarte “37” (Linz) Kragenspiegel. These are constructed out of a lacquered buckram base that has been covered in black wool, with hand embroidered silver bullion over cardboard (left), two silvered aluminum rank pips and flatwire/black rayon strips (right) and both have been piped in twisted aluminum flatwire and black rayon strands. The left tab features a centrally placed silvered “37” above a black background with a silver and black piped exterior. The right tab has two silver pips and two silver/black strips above a black background with a silver and black piped exterior. The reverses have a lacquered buckram base with black wool covering the edges and black stitching holding the piping. The reverse of the rank tab shows the edges of the stirps and all of the tombak prongs holding the pips. They each measure 2 ¼ inches wide by 2 1/8 inches tall. Very desirable.
