SchutzStaffel Mann Kragenspiegel - Type 3, c.1940-45. Worn on the right-hand side. It is constructed out of a lacquered buckram base that is covered in a BeVo woven silver/grey and black cotton thread to a black rayon backing. The parallelogram shaped obverse features two centrally placed silver/grey SS runes above a black background. The reverse shows the center buckram base surrounded by the black rayon and cotton to the edges. It measures 2 inches wide by 1/2 inches tall. Desirable.
