Super Deluxe with Metal Tabs - M1935 Heer Dolchgehänge für Generale. The back connector clip, buckles, bands and clips are all constructed out of an injection molded zinc alloy base that have been gold gilded. They all depict oak leaves and acorns throughout. The grommets and prongs are tombak based. The reverse of the bottom clips are marked “D.R.G.M.” and the obverse of the back connector is marked “D.R.G.M.”. All of these components are held together with two straps. All of these components are held together with two straps. They are constructed out of a cotton base that is covered in a green/tan felt material (reverse) and a patterned aluminum flatwire and cotton stitching (obverse). The top of the straps have the multipiece sheet metal tabs that have been folded over the back connector and riveted to the straps. This was a special period upgrade that would have cost extra. The tabs also depict etched oak leaf and acorns and are both “D.R.G.M.” marked. Both clips continue to work well. 70% of the original gold gilt remains. Just enough age you know its been there and used. An incredibly rare and desirable set. As far as hanger construction goes, this set is the best.
