2nd Pattern, M36 - Kriegsmarine Brustadler für Mannschaften Küstenartillerie. Introduced March 24, 1934, the appropriate national eagle was to be worn on the tunic’s left breast pocket as the identifying symbol. Beginning in 1935 Coastal Artillery units were issued field-grey uniforms. It is constructed out of a machine embroidered yellow and green cotton thread to a green rayon backing. The obverse depicts a M36 2nd pattern yellow army open winged eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons, above a green backing. The reverse shows the stitching pattern and folded over rayon. It measures 3 7/8 inches wide by 1 11/16 inches high.
