Mountain Troop Sleeve Edelweiss
Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss Ärmelabzeichen c.1940-45. It is constructed out of a machine embroidered white, yellow, green and grey rayon stitching to feldgrau wool base. The oval shaped obverse features an edelweiss flower consisting of; thirteen petals, ten stamens, a stem and two leaves, surrounded by a white chained border, all on an feldgrau background. It measures 2 1/8 inches wide by 2 5/8 inches tall.
