Japanese Hinomaru Flag
Japan, WWII - Nisshōki (日章旗). Constructed out of a white and red cotton fabric. The rectangular shaped obverse features a centrally placed red circle (representing the sun) on a white base. The reverse is the same. The edges have been folded over and stitched together. There is some stain. The red color is strong. 2 corners are reinforced with leather. It measures 17 inches long by 12 inches tall.
