A restored early Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Herm. Konejung A.-G. of Solingen. The early blade on this one looks great! The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto is beautifully executed. The stamped encircled glasses “Herm. Konejung A.-G. Solingen” maker mark and “Ges. Geschutzt” mark are beautifully executed. The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc++ It shows age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout but some crossgrain remains. The leather buffer pad is lost to time. The dent-free steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in wonderful condition. It remains completely dent free with surface crazing. The brown pigskin leather is well worn and the snaps are broke off. The iron based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 95%+ of its plating. When this landed the reverse grip plate was broken and the diamond loose so I replaced the grip plate with an original and glued the later diamond in place. Nope not perfect but looks good.
