1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Pack
1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch) by E. Pack. The early Siegfried Waffen etched maker mark is nicely executed though lightened somewhat. It rates an Exc++. It retains its original blue pebbled buffer pad. The early blue, pebbled leather covered scabbard looks great nicely matching the grip. About 99%+ leather coverage remains intact. The steel scabbard fittings show wear and the plating is lost to time. The screws remain. The aluminum OLC marked chain is in good condition. It has 6 upper ringlets and 9 lower, ending at a clip with a broken spring. I stuck a wee wood peg in there to hold it in position. The zinc hilt looks great! The crossguard has inserted brass sun wheel swastikas matching the pommel. The wood based, blue leather grip sports a triple aluminum wire wrap. It suffers a wee repair to the grip wire.
