Austrian M16 Transitional SD Helmet

Re-furbished construction Austrian M16 helmet retains most of its rough textured field-grey over-paint. The dome of the helmet has several wee hits/dents that you can feel with your fingers. not deep and from the period I'm sure as the paint is worn into the low areas. The left side of the helmet has an Wehrmacht eagle decal which is retained about 90%+. The two forward liner retaining rivets, both of the extended ventilation side lugs and both of the early chinstrap retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has an M31 brown leather liner with the sheet metal liner band still intact. Liner is complete with some chaffing to the edges where you would expect to see this. I see no size stamp. Chinstrap remains with the very tip broken off. Shows the expected age, but overall excellent condition. I see no visible size stamps to the shell. I expect it to be about size 58.
