Luftwaffe Koppelschloß. The two-piece buckle is constructed out of a die struck aluminum base that has been silver washed. The obverse features a centrally placed droop-tail open winged eagle clutching a swastika in one of its talons, on a pebbled background, that is all encircled by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that is tied together at the bottom, which then all lies on a pebbled rectangle background. The center roundel has taken a hit and is pushed in. The aluminum prongs and integral catch remain in excellent condition. All four prongs that hold the roundel remain intact. There is light wear to the high areas. Included is a nice quality early belt. made of brown leather it is supple. The inside is lined in felt which is nearly all worn off. Size 86.
