RZM SA Dagger
A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch. The blade on this one has been cleaned hard, so hard that they wiped out the RZM mark! I suspect this was a RZM 7/73 These guys made a notoriously light maker mark, regardless it's gone. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto is washed out some. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates a VG. It remains bright. The sheet metal based brown painted scabbard is in good condition. It remains completely dent free and retains 95%+ of its original painted finish with some crazing. The steel-based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. The ball is undamaged. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. They show some wear and finish loss. The dark hardwood grip looks great with outstanding grain. The nickel eagle is nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A good price!
