2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger

M1937 Fliegerdolch. The plated blade on this one looks wonderful. It has a gorgeous mirror like finish. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade on this one rates NM. It shows faint surface scratches and runner rest marks. The buffer pad is lost to time. The generic steel-based airplane grey plated scabbard looks wonderful. It depicts great details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the two headless throat retaining screws remain. The Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The steel ferrule looks excellent. The pommel is matching. All of the components have matching patina. The wood based celluloid covered grip looks wonderful. The brass springy type twisted wire wrap remains intact. Overall, a very nice late war example.
