2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger Rig by SMF

A solid textbook SMF M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) direct fron Vet's family. The plated inspection marked etched blade on this one has some age towards the tip in the form of some black dots. The maker mark is nicely executed. The blade on this one rates an Exc+. The original leather pebbled blue buffer pad remains intact. The plated steel based dent-free scabbard shows period wear and some light oxidation It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The screws remain and the aluminum bands nicely match the hilt. There are a few dots of age and oxidation. The aluminum Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side engraved oak leaves and acorns. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed swas., oak leaves and acorns! The early chip and Crack-free trylon grip has aluminum springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. Included is a nice portepee and a set of hangers with wear consistent with the dagger.
