Early SA Dagger by Paul Weyersberg

A Model 1933 - Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Paul Weyersberg of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and broad sword “Paul Weyersberg Solingen” maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++/NM. There is minor age grey throughout and it has been cleaned leaving faint scratches. There is some gun grease left in the scabbard so the blade will need a light wipe when you take it out. The scabbard is sheet metal based and brown anodized. It shows oxidization spotting throughout and has a pressure mark to the obverse. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are in excellent shape. The ball is bruised. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are solid nickel-silver. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “No” (Nordfallen). The brown hardwood grip looks good. There are some chips, flake chips to the reverse and a minor hairline crack above the roundel. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 90%+ of its enamel. Purchased from the veteran's son.
