DAF Festival EM Visor Cap by RZM 79
A Deutsche Arbeitsfront Festanzug Schirmmütze für Mannschaften by RZM 79 - Alfred Valet of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. It is constructed out of dark blue wool, with a decorative black mohair center-band. Attached to the obverse is a DAF cap badge, which consists of a DAF emblem (a cog wheel surrounding a mobile swastika) above a two-piece oak leaf and acorn cluster, all on a black backing that is all encircled by an oval shaped gold rope. The reverse of the cap badge has two prongs and reads: “RZM Lieterant No. 53”. To each side is a peened on multi piece black cloth covered button that holds the black patent finished leather chin cord in place. The black ribbed center-band displays an oak leaf and acorn vein around the entire circumference. It shows some fraying. Above the center-band / each button are two black enameled ventilation grommets. The black lacquered patent visor peak has a reinforced edge. The interior features a tan leather sweatband that has a pearl silk bowtie to the back. Underneath the sweatband is the DAF/RZM tag marked: “79”. The interior edge and base are lined in a blue satin lining. Above the lining is a clear diamond moisture shield, over the gold foil DAF emblem. 97% of the shield remains. Below the diamond it is size marked: “55”. Overall, a nice quality visor cap.
