1939 Pattern - NS-RKB (Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund) Schirmmütze für Mannschaften Herstellerfirma No 104. It is constructed out of dark blue wool, with a decorative black mohair center-band. Attached to the obverse is a 1939 pattern NS-RKB eagle above an early first pattern wreath and multi-piece cockade. To each side is a peened-on multi piece black enameled button that holds the black patent finished leather chin cord in place. The black ribbed center-band displays alternating DRKB emblems and mobile swastikas around the entire circumference. The very back has lost some of its stitching. The black lacquered patent visor peak has a reinforced edge. The interior features a tan leather sweatband that has a pearl silk bowtie to the back. Underneath the sweatband is marked twice reading: “Johann Halamack S…” (partially legible) and has a stitched-on NS.-Reichskriegerbund white and blue tag numbered: “104”. The interior edge and base are lined in a blue satin lining. To the base of the lining is in gold foil it reads: “Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (Kyffhäuserbund)” and features the emblem. It only shows minor stitching loss, sweat staining and one tear to the sweatband. Overall, a nice quality visor cap.
