Wehrmacht-Heer Schirmmützeneichenlaub mit Kokarde für Offiziere - c.1933-35. It is constructed out of hand embroidered rolled, twisted and crunched aluminum-silver bullion-flatwire to a field grey wool, black buckram backing with a pinned-on three-piece (red felt, silvered-alloy and black enamel painted alloy) tri-color cockade. The obverse features a cockade surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is open to the top and tied together at the bottom, all on a green backing. The reverse shows the cockade prongs, the stitching and black buckram backing. It measures 2 5/8 inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. A rare bullion pattern.
