Three-piece Tinnie Group. They are all constructed out of die struck zinc that has been blackened/ They all have crimped on steel pins that work well. Top-Left: Reichs Abzeichen 1. Mai 1937 by R. Sieper & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. Introduced in 1933, the NSDAP declared May 1st the “Day of National Work” as an official state holiday to celebrate laborers and the working classes. Top-Right: Transitional - Reichsparteitagabzeichen 1938 by Fr. Jungwirth of Wien. The 10th Party Congress was held in Nuremberg, September 5–12, 1938. It was called the “Rally of Greater Germany” (Reichsparteitag Großdeutschland). Bottom: Transitional - Reichsparteitagabzeichen 1939 by RZM M9/41 – Julius Maurer of Oberstein. The 11th Nuremberg Rally, scheduled for September 2–11, was given the name “Rally of Peace” (Reichsparteitag des Friedens). It was meant to reiterate the German desire for peace, both to the German population and to other countries. It was cancelled at short notice, as one day before the planned date, September 1st, Germany began its offensive against Poland (which ignited World War II). The largest measures 1 11/16 inches in diameter.
