1. & 2. Form - DRKB Veterans Visor Cap Insignia
1.Form - Deutscher Reichskriegerbund (DRKB) Mützen Eichenlaubkranz und Korkade. Introduced in the early 1930s. It is constructed out of a two-piece die stamped tombak base that has been bronze washed and contains a machine embroidered red, white and black rayon cockade. The obverse cockade depicts: in black the Kyffhäuser monument on a white roundel and is on top of a black pattée style cross that is bordered in white and lays on a red square backing and white round backing surrounded by a gilt rope design which is surrounded by an acorn and oak leaf wreath that is open to the top and tied together at the bottom. The hollow back reverse features retains both prongs. It measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 5/8 inches tall.
2. Form Deutscher Reichskriegerbund (DRKB) Mützen Eichenlaubkranz und Korkade. Introduced in 1936. It is constructed out of a two-piece die stamped tombak/steel base that has been bronze brushed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The obverse cockade depicts: in black the Kyffhäuser monument on a white field and is above an NSDAP flag (all within an oval) which is surrounded by an acorn and oak leaf wreath that is open to the top and tied together at the bottom. The hollow back reverse features retains both prongs. Minor paint chips. It measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 11/16 inches tall.
